4th of July in Grand Teton National Park // Part 2

We spent almost an entire day driving the figure 8 up through Yellowstone and back down. Jackson Lodge has beautiful views of the Tetons, Jackson Lake and the valley so we stopped there just as the sun was rising to take it all in. We winded our way up with a few stops here and there until we arrived near the north entrance at Boiling River. I had heard about this natural hot spring where the hot water merges with the cold so we decided to go since we had never been before. It's one of my favorite hot springs if you can get there before the crowds and if you remember your water shoes. Yellowstone is like no other place I have ever seen. I can understand why it was our nation's very first National Park; the world's for that matter! Thank you for your efforts in preserving such a unique landscape, Theodore Roosevelt.
