That's what we are living in these days.  Filly is in puppy heaven because there is plenty of paper and plastic to chew up.  Doooooon't.  She is blacklisted right now ever since she scratched up and unzipped my favorite purse tearing everything inside to shreds.  I could've killed her.  On the bright side, we are almost done laying down our reclaimed wood floors and I am in love with them.  The kitchen floor is the only part left.  We ran into a slight detour when we pulled out the cupboards.  Back in '84 they screwed the cupboard into a bathroom drainage pipe and there has been a slow leak every time you flush the toilet upstairs.  That's right, you heard me... The toilet.  So we have to replace the kitchen flooring with plywood before we can lay the hardwood on top.  Oh, and let's not forget the mold that was festering inside the drywall where the pipe was leaking for the last 25 years.  And did you know that plumbers get paid $75 bones an hour? Ouch. I guess little surprises are what you should expect when you buy a new little fixer upper.  I'm just glad there hasn't been anything super major to fix.  So until we finish the floors and find a few more pennies this will be our humble abode.
